Wild frogs in Mesa AZ??

My parents live down the street from me and they just found a frog on their back patio. We live in Mesa, AZ. Is there such a thing or does this sound more like a pet that got loose? It's been pretty hot here.

Nevermind.....just drove over to check it out and it looks like a Sonoran Desert toad Not sure where he came from but we'll let him be.

Lol my dad called me just a few hours ago from Queen Creek and found a huge one in his pool filter and decided to let him live since I love animals! Too funny.
