Are these tortoise safe?

I believe that's 'Coreopsis basalis' aka dye flower/goldenmane…hopefully someone else will know if it’s edible!
I couldn't find it on any lists.

haha don't you love when you find new plants that they can eat? I was SO excited when I found out the plant growing all over my neighbor's yard is edible- and Nelson loves it

Is it the same thing as black-eyed susan?

I don't think so, the flower petals on the dye flower have a different look than those

The Black eyed susan is: Rudbeckia
Yellow dye flower is: Coreopsis

Is it the same thing as black-eyed susan? No, Blackeyed susan is Rubeckia sp. It is also eatable though.
