So I went out to collect Bella from her new little enclosure I had set up against the wall of the garage. I thought she would love her new pool and especially her new rock pile becuase I know she loves to scramble. However, when I went to check up on her she was no where to be seen! In the shrubs? Nope. Tucked into the corners? Nope. Pleeease tell me she hasn't found a means of escape? Not quite. When I hear some rustling in the ivy on the wall, guess who I find clinging on about 4ft up! Needless to say it was a good job I found her before she lost her footing - I guess when you're a tortoise the only way is up, no reverse option. See if you can spot her!

Moral of the story - never underestimate the escapee skills of your tortoise!

And never use an ivy covered wall as one of your enclosure walls...

I had to hit the screen enlarge buttons to spot her.

Glad you found her; but I'm convinced she could have made it much higher. Then when she gets to the eave of the roof she'll have a real problem.

May have to re-think the rear wall otherwise I won't be able to help going out to check on her every other minute!

You mean you would consider giving her the opportunity to do this a SECOND time?!!

Why not? Looks like she enjoyed herself :p

Of course I won't be! - not before I've padded out her floor with crash mats.
