He lives outdoors or indoors? What type of hide does he have? Seems to be like his shell is rubbing on something. Causing the white

She lives indoors but if it could be from rubbing them I have a rock she goes under and that could be the cause.

My Russian tortoise is definitely wild caught and not young. She has practically no dark color on the front quarter of her shell because it has been worn off. I'm sure it's from her life in the wild and crawling under rocks. She will still do it so I had to take the pavers out of her enclosure and I have hides that aren't made out of rock.
