Hi guys,

Sorry for the poor quality of the photo but it's the closest that my camera will allow me to get.

I noticed a lot of these bugs around the plants, orchid bark and in some of the cococoir within my RT's enclosure.

Is anyone able to help identify them and what the next course of action should be?

Thanks!

I noticed similar bugs in the organic soil I purchased for nesting boxes. I share your concern. Idk what to do. I’m hoping my Russian tortoise would lay her eggs. Test holes for weeks. But I’m planning on getting new soil. Let me know if you get any information.

Springtails. Harmless detrivores. They are cleaning your enclosures for you and cannot harm your tortoises.
