I would say the first. It is much better at holding humidity, and doesn't mold.

Yes out of these two and I'm in California. The only reason I thought no for the first one is I had it with my Russian and it got in his eyes and in his nose. And the guy at Petsmart told me the second one would be better.

If you want to save money you can always go to home depot, lowes, or even walmart and they have stuff that you can use. Stuff like sphagnum peat moss is a favorite of mine. You can also get potting soil for very cheap but I dont use it inside because it can smell. You can probably find a big cheap bag of cypress mulch or orchid bark at a local pet shop not named petsmart and petco.

Thats the one I use as well. Very good quality stuff for a great price. You can use the stuff you got right now but if you want to save a few bucks go to the DEPOT!!!
