What's wrong with my Russian's shell? Please help!

My Russian Tortoise has developed an odd looking shell in the past few months, and I just learned about shell rot and pyramiding. I was wondering if this is just pyramiding, or something more severe. I really need help, I'm really worrying about my baby! What do you guys think? How can I fix it?

Hi Gracey, and welcome to the Forum!

Your wild caught tortoise came from an environment where food was scarce and the living conditions were hard. Now you have him set up in better living conditions and probably with an excess of food. What you are seeing is the new, fast growth that is occurring because of having more food than he's used to eating.
