What to do if my tortoise is sick

This norning i gave him a warm bath, and i guess i put water on his head with out him expecting it and he got some up his nose and blew bubbles for a couple minutes but it has pretty much stopped. It got me thinking, what if my tortoise catches a cold? Can he get over it himself, what could i do to help him, does he require a vet visit if he does get sick?

Checking your temps often should help in preventing a cold or RI. If your tort does get sick, it depends on how bad he is and what it is, if you need to see a vet. Some things can be helped with home remedies that members will be able to inform you on. Other things will require a vet visit. BTW, my tort does that a lot, getting a little water in his nose if I accident,y startle him when soaking.

Yup the bubbles are all gone, he is really happy now that i added humidity, this is the most energetic ive ever seen him
