Im making an outdoor and indoor pen for a Russian what would be the best soil thats dry and is like sort of, well like the tortoise Life Mediteraenian substrate ??? or just the best substrate to use.[/size][/b]

thanks but itll work out expensive because the outdoor cage is really big and , russians like to dig

i bought a GIANT bad of sterile peat moss for 10$ from lowe's the other day, it stretched out to be a lot more than i thought. it's like the coco fiber but it holds moisture better and doesn't have the stringy fibers in it. i actually have a mix of both. my 2 russians love it, sometimes all i can see is the top of their shells!

thanks for that ,,, i don't like to use pet of any kind because a lot of our ( Britains reptiles lived on those peat bogs until ir was dug up i know a place with tons of adders. The thing is many people dont have a clue the affect it has on our reptiles im not blaming u at all please dont feel that way im really grateful and I mean it that people spend their own time helping other people on tthis forum its great.
