What is your favorite type of turtle?

Alligator snapping turtle. Any turtle that could kill me is pretty awesome.

I think I'd have to agree with this. lol! While I really love all of them, snapping turtles in general fascinate me! I'd never own one, but I love seeing them all over the ponds here (just normal snappers here...not alligators) I think they are so cool and prehistoric.

Gerards, what licensing did you have to have? Unless I'm mistaken, affinis is endangered, and I would expect some licensing/permitting required for that in Florida...Just curious.

You don't need anything special to keep endangered species, as long as they are legally here.

Oh, yes, I forgot. As long as they are already in the state at the time of purchase, correct? Just like galaps and radiata I guess. Forgot about that....Well, congrats .
