What is wrong???

I have been noticing something strange on my tortoises nose I’m wondering if y’all know what it is

The picture is a little blurry but it looks like it's possibly just dirt that he's gotta one his facial scales from burrowing in his enclosure?

Can't tell from the blurry picture, but it looks chewed or possibly rubbed too much.

Does this tortoise live alone? Does it spend a lot of time outside? Does the outdoor enclosure have a full visual barrier around the bottom? Where is the tortoise at night?

My bad on the bad photography. I have one other and they are in the same enclosure and I don’t have there enclosure ready yet. That picture was in a flower spot with grass

You should separate them. The other tortoise could have done that to him.
