That's where the problem comes in... I've tried asking the pet store and they GUESSED male.
so, I'm kind of confuse now.

Looks female to me. Pet store clerks, in my experience, are generally real nice people with good intentions. Most do not have a good basic foundation with reptiles and are just, as you said, guessing. We, on this forum have a foundation with torts and answers will come with tons of experiences. I remember the pet store clerk telling me a rabbit for sale was a female because my niece wanted a female. When I held the rabbit, for sure male. Just selling the product!
Note: We bought the rabbit anyway, LOL.
