...especially the 2008 hatched female!

The flash makes her look like she has orange on the top of her head toward the nose, etc.
NOT so -

The Yellow patterns on black -

Female with split-scute -

Young male-hopeful - ( he wouldn't sit still } -

Again the truer colors is what I was trying to show -- especially the 2008 female. [ not the clear focus )

Nice colors, their head morph is same as the northern and not the Brazilian, is that always the case?

Craig .. it does no good to try to put all morphs in a box - that's a good generalization / observation .. and I agree - it seems like the Bolivians { I've seen anyway ] have heads that are almost covered with colors. And again...... there's always someone that has to state they've seen the exception - with no evidence!

Again generally speaking - I never have liked the typical RED blood-line of the Brazilian redfoot. [ let it be known.. there are breeders that produce far from typical Brazilian redfoot tortoises ]

And I [ like Carl ] would like to get my hands around the neck of those guys that started the name "CHERRYHEAD" .. making them something UN-REGULAR or different/special - they're just a redfoot tortoise from a different range is all.
