I found this in the field behind my house. There is lots of clover, dandelion, and plantain, but this is the only plant of its kind ?

I kept Nelson away from it because I don't trust his judgment ;) The kid tries to eat plastic, rocks, wood chips, sunflower seeds, etc :p

LOL, I don't trust Boulders judgement either, he was attacking a piece of concrete the other day that was sticking up on the patio! :p

I don't know what it is either, but it was in a big horse pasture out here and the horses and cows were both eating it.

I think its dock. If you leave it alone does it make a tall seed spike?

There's curly dock and sour dock. Curly has wavy leaves. this picture is sour dock.

Its toxic to horses. If you want to dig it out, it has a long carrot-like root and you have to be sure to get ALL of the root. If you leave even a tiny piece in the ground it will sprout new plants.
