Watery Eyes
My sulcata has started to develop some watery eyes. Although more noticeable in the sun, you can practically see from a mile away, even in the shadows. At close glance it looks like it was crying. It hasn't had any problems like this until now.

Wheezing
It has also been breathing awkwardly. You can literally hear it take in air through its nostrils. Is this normal?

How old is he, temps, humidity, substrate, diet, etc, etc. also, please read Toms threads below for raising a smooth, healthy sulcata.

They are called "the crying tortoise" for a reason. I often see my sulcata, just as you described, watery eyed. Especially in the sun and from a distance. The wheezing needs to be monitored. It may be nothing, I hear mine take in air. Or, it could be he has an obstruction. Another possibility would be a lingering Upper Respiratory Infection. Most likely it is just "normal" for your sulcata. Is there any discharge from the nares?

In a very bright light, take a look inside the nares. There might be food, grass or whatever stuck in one or both of the nostrils.
