Hi!
So I've heard different things.....am I supposed to rinse/put water on the top of Goblin's shell when giving him/her a bath? Goblin is a four to five month old russian tortoise. I give Goblin a bath every night.
Thanks! :D

I'm not sure whether it's good for tortoise to get "bath"during night. Why don't you do it during routine soak? It's certainly fine to spray their shells. Just make sure you use warm water when doing it at night time...

it's kind of necessary to soak the hatching everyday for at least a year.
humidity or moisture on the shell will prevent the pyramiding in the torts (but keep in mind that you provide enough heat too).If you can get the tort smooth till he gets to about 3-4 inches then there is less chance that he will ever get pyramided. :)

Wet is fine. Cold and wet, not fine.

I always rinse mine after a soak. I either use the warm tap or a spray bottle to rinse the poopy soak water off of them and then I put them away wet into their warm enclosure.
