Hello. Billys heat lamp/UVB bulb broke a couple of days ago and I am desperately searching for a new one but unable to find one that's under 100 pounds but still a reasonable quality and provides the necessary lighting heat and UVB. please help as he won't eat when his body temperature is quite low and he hasn't eaten for about 4 days apart from a couple of bites. Thanks

hi there, is it possible to heat the room up until you can get a bulb? have you had a look online for a better price?

you can use an incandescent light bulb until you find one to replace. he needs heat right now more than UVB. Just make sure you don't get the lower energy 1s they don't produce a lot of heat.

Hi Yillt,
If you are in UK you can buy Mercury Vapour Bulbs which give heat, light and uva/b in one bulb
and they are much cheaper that £100.
I bought my 80w Arcadia Mini D3 in Pets at Home for £39.
The higher wattage are probably a little dearer but not that much.

They also sell another make that I can't remember at the moment
but it will be on their website.
Just avoid coil/loop types.

Yes I am in the UK and thank you for the useful information. I have ordered that bulb and it should be with me by tomorrow so Billy will be completely back to normal and eating well again. Than, you
