Here are updated pics of our Vivarium. Footlocker tramples everything! We took his old home and made it his hide. That's about all that thing will ever be good for again.

That's nice, Jamie. A suggestion or two: Dig your water/feed dish down into the substrate so the sides are even with the top of the substrate. Then take the palm of your hand and pat down all the cypress mulch to flatten it a bit.

Thanks Yvonne, but we change out his water about twice a day, like I said, he loves to trample :)

I like how you utilized the space on top of the hide box and added more plants.

Does he kibble on the plants at his level?

He does a bit. Mostly when he is anxious or bored. They aren't bad for him, but they aren't preferred either. The plan is that we will plant the greens in the viv when they mature more. They grow back IF he doesn't destroy them completely.

Well ya know dandelions are by far the best food for them, but when you do want to grow them, they take FOREVER! Seems rather contradictory to my lawn. I just wish my sprout-lings would grow faster.

:D My personal theory is a weed grows like a weed only as long as it is an unwanted plant. Making it wanted, means it's no longer a weed so no longer grows fast and nor grows everywhere. :D What are you growing for him in the pots?

The pots are just some plants from home depot. Two are dracanea and the other is butterfly agave. In the seed starters, I have collard and mustard greens, dandelions and marigolds. Once those are all potted in the soil, we'll start a new batch. I'll assume he'll get very hungry! He already tries to climb up the wall and get a nip. He must know they are his favs! I just love my footlocker. He is really the coolest and I am so happy he came into our lives!
