I'm sorry if this is off topic but I don't know if anyone remembers but about a month ago one of my mom's friend gave me this eastern box turtle he found that he kept for a couple months. It was a wild one though which is the problem. I would let him go back but I'm afraid he will die since where I am it's about 30-40 degrees each night. I was wondering if any of you know a reptile shelter that takes box turtles in Alexandria Virginia. I don't think it's right for me to keep him since he is a wild and I heard they hibernated so that's too much for me. Please help me find a shelter or maybe someone that will take him! I want him to have a happier life. Thanks! Sorry if this doesn't belong in off topic but I didn't know where else I would post this since it's not lost or being sold. Oh also they checked if it belonged to anyone and it didn't.
