Hi all
My friend has this little lady living in the garden pond, she now has a consort and is happily producing babies.
Could someone please help by telling us what breed she is?

Todd is correct, red ear slider.

Please let me give you and your friend a piece of advice. Red ear sliders are prolific reproducers. You will soon have many baby turtles and will run out of friends to give them to. Also, they are not native to the UK and it would be against the law to release the babies in any of the UK's waterways.

Hi Todd and Yvonne,
Thanks for your quick responses.
The turtle is actually living in the Caribbean and yes prolific reproducer is an apt description! The gardener found the first nest of 8 in the yard a month ago and since then we've found more nest sites.
The husband may have to be sent for a sabbatical!!
