One of my hermanns is a big digger and managed to sneak off to the other side of our garden to bury herself without any of us noticing, this is how we found her

Warning to possible new owners, little tortoises are bigger characters then you would expect

Oh she's adorable! We'd not thought of that, hopefully once they have a proper outside run we won't have to go digging up the garden every time we need to put her away

We call it Easter egg hunting when we go looking for Shelly because she always turns up in random spots like this

Haha I like that, we ended up looking round our street and all through our neighbours gardens, we knew she wasn't the type to escape but we didn't think about digging around
