Tortoise weight!

My two young sulcatas are not growing that fast. Could it be weather??? One is about 3 inches long and the other 4 1/2

What other info can you share about their care, enclosure, diet?

I really think it may be from this weather we've been have kind of changes to much they are outside now in a huge enclosure

Are they outside full-time in the new enclosure? Including nights? What are the daytime and nightime temps of the enclosure. Heat directly effects growth rates in young sullies.

How's te weather where you live? My sulcata is outside from 8 am- 8 pm and grazes the whole time. In 11 days Dexter gained 100 grams, but that doesn't happen often. Oh and dexter is 13 months old. When mine was 3.5 inche it was gaining 20-30+ a month. But, as mentioned it varies.

Well I'm in Louisiana so right now the high is around 85 and the low is about 63 so I guess the low isn't great but our weather is about to get crazy hot

How old are your sulcatas? Where in Louisiana are you?
I'm in new orleans but the temps have barely been in the 80s. If anything the weather here has been pretty bizarre. Albeit the weather will be scorching any day now but I haven't found it steadily warm enough for my young sully to be outside at all especially not at night.

Well today I rigged something up to keep it Warmer and I'm in Baton Rouge so today they were doing Great I was very glad to see that.
