Tortoise shell

Ive been worrying about the health of my tortoises shell, it just doesnt seem okay. I clean his shell a few times a week, and ensure he has the right humidity, however its just a concern of mine

If you are concerned about pyramiding, light and heaters can be the issue, not only ambient humidity. Can you tell more - what substrate do you use, what are temperatures (day/night ambient, basking zone) and humidity, what lights and heating are in use?
