Tortoise nose blockage

I noticed that one of the nostrils of my tortoise was blocked. It wasn't a cold or a runny nose, but the other nostril was clear. I tried to remove it for a long time but couldn't. Is there any good way to deal with it? Do I need to take care of it?

Hello!
It seems that eye is swollen and inflamed too. And on the other side, probably too (but to a less extent). I would suggest to find an exotics vet (maybe ask in a municipal zoo, for example).

Meanwhile, you can try flushing the nostrils with a sterile saline solution or boiled (and cooled down) water. A syringe with a needle broken off at the base can be handy.

I'm not Yvonne or Zovick, but in this situation...have you tried soaking the tort for a while in a tub? Sometimes that helps. If you can't use something to pull that piece out, I would use a nasal flush. A flush made for human babies, and stick that in his nares and let the the fluid push the piece down. I believe that bit of eye problem will go away when that piece is out of his nares.

Thank you for your advice. I took her to the veterinary clinic and the doctor used saline to flush out the blockage. In addition, the doctor prescribed some liquid anti-inflammatory medicament to drip into her nose.(The rinsing and cleaning may irritate her nostrils, so some medicine was prescribed.)

Her eyes were red probably because before taking this photo, I wanted to try to remove the blockage myself, which caused her to be somewhat irritated and congested. After using it for a while, it didn't swell anymore, and I took another photo to observe it later
