tortoise mood change?

Hello! We have had Dimitri for over a year now and its been great! Just a few days ago, we changed his substrate. What we had previously was coco coir bark for 6 months (which he seemed to enjoy & loved to burrow in) and we just changed it to coco coir fiber mixed in with some of the bark. We noticed that Dimitri has been acting a little different after the change. We feel that he is acting different now, more guarded like he can't relax. Is this normal? Or are we just a pair of worried tortoise parents heh. we are considering changing the substrate back to just coco coir bark. Should we wait it out and see if he just needs to adjust?

I would give it a bit. Some do take some time to get used to change. If it were me, and he didn't settle in after about a week, I would switch back and see how he acts. He will probably get comfy with it though, if you give him a little time.
