Is it basically impossible to get a tortoise into Canada from a breeder here?

I have yet to hear anyone do it, from what I understand it is not illegal but thanks to all of the red tape it is next to impossible.

Ya it's frustrating. They have sulcattas from 450 to 600 here. Pancakes at the store 1599. I can't afford any lol. I look at US prices 99 for some.

So is cost the main issue and not availability ? I wouldn't blame you if it was those prices seem awful high.

Well availability is also an issue. The Leo I own now I got in Quebec 7 hours away. They do sell a few at stores but the cost is crazy/ care there given ya it would be nice to save them from a foot long 4 inch wide enclosure but when sulcattas cost 450 or more can't do it. Anyone know anyone in Ontario Canada breeding ro selling?

Recently there's been some major breeding of rare species and it's turning out to be pretty good. I think Canada might be on a tortoise breeding breakthrough!!! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
