Do you either change your tortoise's food pallets at the end of the day or leave them for tomorrow?

Which one is more hygienic?(do you think)

Which one do you do mostly?

I usually remove any uneaten pellets at the end of the day, and adjust the amount offered the following days.

I use terra cotta plant saucers sunk into the substrate for food, and water too. The food dishes usually remain dry and clean, so I just remove any left overs and drop in new food. In the event that they poop or pee in the dish, I remove it and wash it with hot water, then dry it in the sun before returning it to the enclosure.

In the event that I'm feeding something wet or messy, like soaked Mazuri or opuntia fruit, I will use a plastic butter tub lid, or something similar and remove it at the end of the day for washing. The little lip helps to contain the mess and keep it off of the substrate, and the plastic material is very easy to wash and keep clean.
