that you donate to or would recommend for someone who would like to help Tortoises?

I just recently saw this billboard for the
Turtle Conservancy
which has has purchased and protected over 53,000 acres for turtle and tortoise conservation.



These both look like good organizations. I'm preparing for when it is time to ask for donations "in lieu of flowers".

And of course! There is The New York Turtle and Tortoise Society where we adopted The Turtle all those years ago.
