I have 2 sibling sulcatas one is 80 grams other is 40. Any advice on getting it to grow more evenly? Both have humid homes with proper temps. ImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1433528226.194261.jpg

All tortoises grow at different speeds like humans or any other animal. It takes time for them to get as big as the others. If you want to try and get some weight on him try and feed it some Mazuri and see how that goes. Are they kept in the same enclosure? What do you feed them?

It's funny because the small one eats more and is also more active.

That's a pretty nice set up Andy. Any ideas on names popping up? Mine are Rocky and Apollo

I know right!! My Leopard tortoise is the smallest one I have and eats more than all the rest! She's been a tough girl to get some weight on after some complications but she's gaining weight really fast now! ImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1433532148.578995.jpg
That was about 2 weeks ago.

As long as you provide the essentials (the right food, UVB from either the sun or a good UVB light, exercise and humidity) you're doing the best you can. You might have some luck feeding moistened Mazuri Tortoise Diet.

3 of those pictures were when he was around 6 months and now he's around 10 to 11 months.
