no, i sure dont think so..the stamin is very thick and chunky
not fine and hairy

and my girlfriend just called and said its a camelia!! now off to find if its edible or not

Camelia. Not palatable, but I don't think its toxic.

They're Camelia's I love them and have them all over my backyard and frontyard. The ones I have are probably over 40 years old they take a while to get to the size of the one in your picture. They're always green and they flower once a year. They come in all different colors. They're so beautiful. :D
