Hello all, I have recently been thinking about where life might take me and all of my tortoises. When I move off I’m planning on purchasing another one, quite possibly a Hermans, but currently I have one Russian two Herman’s and Red Foot. My red foot right now is currently a six month old, so she is still quite tiny. I wanted to share some future ideas that I have for when she gets bigger. I live in Texas and red foots require a very high humidity, Texas does sometimes get quite humid but not quite 90 percent. I’m going to be planning on keeping my Red Foot indoors, and outdoors sometimes for some nice little walks. This is so that I can ensure that she’s getting the right climate control. I did some research on some other threads and decided that this might be my best option. This is a raised garden bed that I am planning on somehow converting to an closed chamber enclosure, it is 8‘ x 8‘, and has a nice little walkway where I can get to any part of the enclosure I need to. I’m planning on having a large “tortoise room” in my own house, which will have plenty of space for the four 5 foot enclosures and this 8 foot.
This is what I found- thoughts??
