Happy Birthday to my little Leviathan! Levi for short

Today he is 2 years old and measures just shy of 8" and 2.5lbs! I purchased him as a wee 4 week old from Torts R Us and have raised him hot and humid I love this guy!! Well, is it a guy? lol I don't know for sure but I think so

OK, enough with the photos! I'm outta here!!

Last year we celebrated with a Mazuri cake!! It was his 1st Bday, it had to be special

I can't view the pictures but isn't 8 inches real big for a 2 year old. I purchased 2 that are suppose to be 2 year olds and they are only around 4 inches.

Yes he IS beautiful ! So when determining sex is it the size or age that is best to determine sex. My 2 year olds that are small (4 inches) as of right now they are female for sure. Can that change at this point ? I have a large male.

IMO- Size and age work together to determine the sex. For example, my guy is 8" and 2 years old but still doesn't show the male characteristics. I recently saw posted photos of a 9", 6 year old that was CLEARLY a male. Concave plastron, massive tail, handle bar mustache anal scutes... you could not deny that leopard was a male and he was only 1" larger than my guy. I've seen more examples just like that one..

I also have two more 2 year olds. They are 6" and 5". Started dry, converted to hot and humid. I *think* they are 1:1 but they are still too young and too small to have strong enough physical characteristics to be sure.

If your 2 year olds are 4"...I would not bet any $ on guessing their gender
