Yes, the weather is strange this year. My desert tortoises didn't go into their hibernatorium until a whole month later than usual.

I have a male and two or three females each. I doubt you'll ever have a chance at raising any, as it's illegal to remove them from their home state.

I also had this problem, I feared my thb might want to celebrate christmas with me :p but they finally went into brumation in mid-December.
Altough I live much farther to the north than their natural habitats... :confused:

The desert tortoises average around 13lbs and around 12 SCL. Every so often you'll see one bigger than that, but this is about average.

Thank you. I've got them all tucked in safely in their hibernating place, and the doorway is blocked so they can't come out until I decide it's ok.

He was making a joke. He has plenty of cold weather where he lives and he'll be happy to send you some (cold weather).
