I have a 1 1/2 year old sulcata and we would like to teach her to respond to her name any tips?

Treats. Lots of treats. Call her witg lettuce in sight. After a LONG time she 'might' respond without food. Only some torts can learn. I have a Russian that learned this way.
Use it a lot when your around her. When she looks at you. When she moves towards you. When you hand feed her, etc, etc. some seem to get it, some don't. I don't think it's the name they recognize as much as you are the food cart. However, I believe a few members have posted about calling their torts name and the tort either looked or came to them. I personally believe if it works, you can think of it however you want. Either they responded because your the food cart or because they recognized their name. Whatever makes you happy, right

I also believe that they know that you love them and they can feel that love. Both of mine come to me and will sit beside me. My little one will relax in my lap if I'm petting him and my big boy is sick right now and today he just came and sat beside me so I could pet him then he closed his eyes.
