Does anyone have any links to a tank/enclosure for a 3 inch sulcata tortoise? I have her in a 20 gallon glass tank right now but she doesn't seem happy, and I read her tank should be sealed

@Markw84 is a forum member and I think he provides essential heating and lighting with his enclousures. These are all good quality makers, but I have heard that marks enclosures have the best insulation, which makes heating easier.

A smart enclosure is definitely a good investment! I’d definitely look into it!

May I ask a few other questions on how he’s kept? Might help us advising too, it’s good checking in with new members😊

What are your temperatures like? Ie basking temp(directly under the bulb), overall day temps, night temps?
What kind of basking bulb are you using specifically? Packaging photos are good if you have any
What’s your indoor uv type?
How’s humidity reading?
What kind of substrate?

If you’re willing to share more that’d be wonderful! Welcome to the forum🐢💚

https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/p...Ii0LshtdU-fNdjeVr3yHsIPL4DNjByG8aAg3YEALw_wcB unfortunately I don't have the money for Mark's enclosure, would this work?
It's not the enclosure itself, but an insert between two enclosures when you place them one over another. Enclosure itself has 2x3 higher price.

As you have a sulcata, I see no point in buying supercool terrarium. They grow very fast and you need a cheap and extensible option.

Something like this: https://www.lifetime.com/lifetime-6...sed-garden-bed-with-one-early-start-enclosure
or galvanized steel garden beds with a portable greenhouse on top.
You will need to add the bottom - e.g. plywood sheet + pond liner or shower curtain).

If your sulcata is cared for properly it will grow very quick. With in about two years he may be big enough to live outside, at about 10 inches.
Get a pop up greenhouse. They are cheap, come in sizes that will last you until he can live outside.
Do Google searches for ones like in the pic. They are 3 wide by 6, 9, 12, long may be other sizes too.

Hopefully you’ll find this indoor housing thread I made useful, it covers correct equipment(lighting, heating, uv), levels, importance of a closed chamber, appropriately maintaining humidity, substrates, there’s lots of visual examples for everything, a food list and a really handy diet link to check out! If going with a greenhouse, the lower the ceiling height, whilst still allowing for recommended bulb height, the better!

This includes some other closed chamber examples but do bear in mind the size you need for your species

Lastly, this one is also really good to familiarise yourself with, it’ll help you avoid the wrong bulbs, substrates, housing etc, I always encourage double checking purchases on the forum too before buying

Hope they help!🐢💚
