I am going with male as well, but I am not the best at deciding.

I was recently shown a male and a female. The male had a very definite V shape to the anal scutes. The female had almost a U shape (or at least a less definite V).

The only other advice I was given was "Wait till he comes across a small boulder in your yard and there will be no room for doubt!"

I would say female cuz my tortoises tail looks just like that
