Hello all! I have had my Sulcata for about 4 years and he has not grown. I did thorough research before purchasing my tortoise and I am educated on tortoise care and husbandry.
Housing:
I have an under the bed storage bin that I keep him in. I use paper towels as substrate as per tortoise veterinarian recommendation. I change them weekly. The bin also has a food dish, water dish, half log hide and a small terra cotta pot. I through he wasn't getting enough sunlight so I put my dog's old wrought-iron playpen outside on the lawn and sunk it about 6 inches. I added all the décor from the bin to the playpen.
Diet:
I was feeding him one flower a day 5 times a week until about a month ago. Once I moved him into the playpen, I started feeding him the flower, leaves, a handful of spinach or spring mix. Once in a while I feed him a romaine lettuce leaf/branch in addition to to the food stated above. He also grazes on the grass in the playpen.

- Is my tortoise getting enough food? Balanced diet?
- Why isn't my tortoise growing?
