For those of you who saw my post of the ad from CL I found yesterday, I emailed the owner to see if he is still available, If I get a response fast I will rescue him tomorrow, If not this weekend,
Now as you can see I am only a redfoot keeper so I'm gonna need some help from my forum people

Now I understand these guys get.big and I am prepared for that
Arrival home a good warm soak and nutritious meal, all under proper lighting

Question time
I know for sick turtles I have some of that sulfur powder for the soak water, would this be good?

Next
Substrate?
Diet?
Temp/humidity?

I want to give this little guy a real long healthy life! And I'm gonna need your help to get started

the condition that one is in.. i dont know if it will grow so big.. you might do well.
I hope you dont have to pay for him tho... that owner needs to know and understand how bad a shape that animal is in.

I wouldn't classify him as sick, he needs calcium and sunshine to help, but it won't be reversible and or easily fixed.

The guy still has him, so I am going to see if I can get him this afternoon, may have to wait till Friday though,

Now I know why he/she is not answering emails. I was going to help another member get her, but we couldn't get a response. So glad someone from TFO will Be caring for her now.. Good for you

If he has lived this long he is a tough survivor and it is highly unlikely he will die on you , in the long term he most likely have a shortened life span, but he won't die In like the next few months (most likely) no guarantees though.

Well I.got her The picture on craigslist looked much worse than in person but she is still in rough shape,

As to the owner, he loved this tortoise ko doubt in my mind, he just had some holes in diet and lighting
hr had a very large heating pad excellent food and water dishes, but was just using a flood light

She is very alert for the shape she is in, she is loving her soak right now. Drinking like a horse

I will post pics of her later on tonight
