It's usually 30 to 45 days after mating that a female will lay her first clutch. Subsequent clutches can be from 14 to 30 days after a prior clutch.

Thanks and on average how many clutches do they lay per year?

Number of clutches depends on the fat reserves of the female. If she feels she has the fat reserves to do it you could get 4 or 5 clutches a year.

do they lay 12 - 20 eggs per clutch or do they only lay a few eggs in each clutch?

Hi Danny

depends a bit what kind of Hermann female you have. I think Boetgeri often lay about 6 in a clutch.
