I have searched for cypress mulch and the only thing I can find is a cypress much blend. I don't want to trust that. I live in Central Louisiana, any suggestions?

For inside? Orchid or fir bark is used by 99% of us for inside enclosures.
For outside larger tortoises, just the ground that is naturally there.

Mostly the big box stores...Home depot, Lowe's some nursery's...just stay away from pine or cedar...toxic fumes

You're welcome. I googled it before and it says they call it a blend because they use the wood and bark of the tree

nope, no sand...

I believe it says 'blend' because it may contain things other than just cypress mulch, eg anything growing on or near the cypress trees that are being harvested for the mulch. If there are 'ingredients' listed, it may say something like 'other forest products' to reflect this.
