Stu squeeks when he breathes!

Hi all,

I have noticed sometimes that when Stu breathes through his nostrils there is a sort of squeek noise! Is that normal? I have noticed it for a long time but sometimes it seems worse. Like this weekend for example. Does anyone know the cause of it? Is it some sort of respiratory problem or do I not need to worry about it?

Is there any kind of discharge from his nostrils?

I noticed the same thing once when my torts needed a good soaking. Try doing a warm soak and see if that helps. Worse comes to worse, take him to the vet to be on the safe side.

It could be a sign of a respitory infection. I see this from time to time in my tortoises. Usually a boost in temperatures and long soaks cure it right up in a matter of days.
