Are the lighter color in between the "square" of the star torts shell an indication of shell growth? Are they suppose to be softer? My torts shell is very hard but yesterday she tried to squeeze in between their hides, it's a clay plant pot. Now i see a little crack right where the lighter color is. Is that a problem? Ill try to post pic, he's asleep rt now.

Here are the photos.

the first photo shows the crack or more like a tiny hole :(

the next pic I thought I'd add, when I got her a year ago her back shell looks uneven, it doesn't seem to change... it's still uneven. The shell is rock hard.

yeah its definitly uneven why idk maybe injury or it coulda been born with uneven scutes. idk but if its rock hard than it may be nuthing more than a cosmetic flaw, rock hard is good.
