Hello! I was looking for some advice for my tortoise, Excalibur. He is a 2.5 year old golden greek tortoise. For the past 2 months he has been making this squeak sound. I've brought him to the vet twice now and they gave him antibiotics both times but it hasn't made a difference. The vet didnt seem to know what could be causing the sound since he isnt showing any other signs of respiratory distress. His behavior hasn't changed and he is eating how he normally does. He seems to only make the sound when he notices me or other people. I thought maybe his enclosure might be too dry so I bumped the humidity but that hasnt made a difference either. Has anyone noticed this behavior in their tortoises? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

How long have you had it? Does it seem to withdraw quickly when you approach it?
Ive had him since he was a hatchling. Sometimes he'll withdraw quickly if I come up to him fast. If I go slowly and talk to him, he stays out of his shell. He does not make a loud squeak sound when he retreats into his shell, like Ive seen on YouTube videos of sick tortoises. Which is a good thing. He also has no bubbles or gasps for air so I'm really curious what it could be.
Hmmm. Is it pooing OK? Could it be constipated and/or obstructed/impacted?
Yeah. The poop is solid like always and urates are white and wet consistency.
