Most people use a CHE (ceramic heat emitter) for night time heat. My preference is the incandescent black light bulb. I have quite a few tort sheds to keep warm at night and the CHE was more expensive to use than the 60 watt black light in each shed.
Get a ceramic heating element, run it in a ceramic based fixture, and run it on a thermostat to control the temp. I like to keep it at least 80 day and night for leopards all over the enclosure and then offer a 100 degree basking spot for around 12 hours a day.
Hello and Welcome I like the ceramic heat emitter myself too. Last forever, and no light. Also, Toms threads for raising leopards are below in my post, great info there, check it out. The sulcata info also pertains, as they are raised the same.
