Hey guys!
Long time no see. Anyways, I've just been noticing that my tortoise's shell has been looking pretty dry lately. I've tried to soak her more often to see if it makes a difference, but it doesn't seem to be doing anything. Also, she has some rather giant spaces between scutes that I had assumed were growth rings. She used to have none of the spaces between her scutes when I first got her three years ago. Just wanted to make sure everything was okay and if there is anything I can do for her dry shell!
She has lighting that includes UV and heat on a regular schedule. She has coconut coir for substrate, easily accessible water, a shady spot, and a "sunny" spot. She is fed an assortment of leafy greens often combined with cucumber, squash, or broccoli (or some other random food that I look up on the TFO to make sure it is okay before I give it to her :):tort: ) .
Thoughts? Thanks guys!
