some russian help??!

my russian tort. shelly has some peeling on his scutes well more like flaking and its not the full scute its in spots. her set up is repti bark and timothy hay to burrow on one half and the other just repti bark and a crawl shady spot. i do have the correct lighting uv's heat ect. any help, suggestions,advice with anything let me know. oh and i use reptivite on him food a few times a week and vita shell 1-2 times a week and bathe him 2-3 times a week in warm water.

welcome to the forum ,how old is your RT?
With the vita shell when you put it on your RT are you scrubbing the old vita shell off , it can cause flaking of the shell if you're not and can in some cases cause shell rot , i don't use it because of some of the reviews and cons of it , maybe soak and a good scrub with a soft bristle brush make sure you mist your RT two tmes a day
