So.. We've had her for 3 days now and she got out for some sun yesterday. Today she decided to climb onto her hide. Guess she is getting used to our house! ImageUploadedByTortForum1369050388.471478.jpg ImageUploadedByTortForum1369050407.984206.jpg ImageUploadedByTortForum1369050428.691281.jpg

Peaches is very pretty. It looks like she might be able to escape if she gets on top of that "bridge" and gets over to the side of the habitat. Are you using alfalfa pellets for substrate? She might benefit a little from a substrate that you can slightly moisten.

Hi Yvonne. I've just changed her enclosure so I have clear sides and a wire top so she is fully enclosed now. I'm using a substrate that is made from loam, soft sand and limestone. It's for Mediterranean torts and is similar to soil so it's pretty absorbent. Good for keeping the humidity up too. Just got her all sorted and even has a rock garden made with granite from my local quarry which I collected last night ! 🐢

Ha ha. My son named her after the baby mammoth in Ice Age. I wanted to call her Koopa. But he DID want to name his baby brother Peaches before he was born, so when we said hell no to that, the tort got the name instead :)

Hahahaha I wanted to name my little brother Buster when my parents told me I was getting a sibling. I settled for a cat named Buster instead.

It would be pretty funny if everyone calls the new baby brother "Peaches" as a nick name.

Yeah we did say that...but now his wee brother,Zakk, is 19 months we have called him The Cheeky Destroyer. He is into everything and climbs everywhere but does it with a cheeky smile. So it's hard to get angry with him. Peaches is too soft a name for him!

Some new ones. She seems to like train spotting too! She's a bit of a nerd [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH AND SMILING EYES]ImageUploadedByTortForum1384114583.217477.jpgImageUploadedByTortForum1384114617.516798.jpg
