My sulcata is now one year old. I soak him every morning, and he poops every time i soak. He seems to be enjoying it more and more the older he gets. Is it possible to soak too much? Or is everyday ok? Should i cut down to every 2 or 3 days, or is everyday fine. Also when i soak him every morning i put him in the sun, so he can get some early morning natural sunlight to start the day.

I have heard all sorts of things about why they don't need to be soaked every day...

None of it makes any sense, and the problems that it is supposed to cause have NEVER materialized for me. The only thing daily soaks have ever caused for me is a healthy, well hydrated, smooth growing tortoise... :)

At one year old your tortoise should not NEED to be soaked every day, but it also should not harm anything either.

You do have drinking water available in a shallow dish of some sort, right?
