My 3-yr-old Hermann's wakes up at 7-8 am and is asleep by 2-4 pm. He seems fine and eats and evacuates daily. Is this much sleep common/needed at his age? A recent fecal sample came back OK.

Hello. From my personal opinion as I have had my Russian tort for 2 weeks and its the same pattern.. he up anywhere between 630-8 and usually up and out til about 4-5 and then in his hide for the night.
But I just found out when its really hot he is out to eat and then he goes and bask and sleep most of the day...
