Hi all,
I have had my 15 year old male Russian Tortoise Reed for about a month, and noticed his shell looking a little odd. When I got him his shell looked like this, and it hasn’t changed, but I just wanted to check that everything is normal. The guy we got him from said he was totally healthy, I’m just not sure his shell is supposed to look like this. He’s a super active little guy and he eats a lot, and doesn’t have any signs of sickness. I am worried that this might be shell rot, but I don’t want to worry unless I have to. I have attached a photo of his shell, if anyone could please help me that would be great!
Thank you,
Emma and Reed
